I can’t believe I’d never stumbled across your blog before! Add one more stupidly-obsessed-with-baking fan to your list, Pete. I’m going to HAVE to try the PB cups, despite having had a rough time with other candy-making endeavors.

Oh, and just to be relevant to this recipe: I’m psyched to have a non-pie use for the apples my bf doesn’t eat (I’m allergic (I know, weird), so they have to be cooked).

Thank you to you and your mum so much for your delicious recipe, i have made the apple version 4 times, made a pear and ginger version and a plum and mixed spice version too. It truely is a yummy recipe and soo easy that i can now whip it up for school luch boxes on demand!! Love your blog, look forward to many more recipes too. Cheers, Anya in Belfast

Wow! These look amazing! Anything with a crumb topping sounds pretty amazing. I think I’m going to make these this week!

Very good! I made per the recipe, with the exception that I used Jonathon apples because that is what I had. These are a a great “take along” recipe. Enjoy!
