I loved this recipe my 10 year old granddaughter suggested caramel apples so I covered the top with hersheys caramel topping marbled it thru then baked had to omit the nuts due to allergies ended up with a delicious caramel Apple bread. It was gone within an hour after it got out of the oven

I have something to add to this recipe... change the butter for 8 sp of oil, take another apple and smash it and add it to the oil and sugar and you'll give it a nice fresh flavor.

Just finished baking. I had sliced apples in the freezer we had picked on our property. still have two more bags and now I have something to do with them! This was FABULOUS! I ground up 1/2 a nutmeg and added that. Will be a quick yummy breakfast for the kids!

any chance you can substitute plain yogurt for the milk in this? would that change much of anything? just want to make this recipe now (immediate gratification, i know) and seem to have all the ingredients except for the milk on hand :)

I use Fuji apples for their sweetness. I also add one tsp. of vanilla. One easy thing to do is take any zucchini bread recipe and exchange apples for zucchini. Oh, and use half white sugar and half brown sugar and it will rock your socks off! :-)

I must join the throng singing the praises of this recipe. SO simple. SO yummy. I woke up on this chilly October morning in NC, and specifically went on a search for an apple bread recipe. The picture you took of your bread showed up in a Google search, and led me here. I'm so glad I found your blog, and I can't wait to try more of the recipes you've posted here.

Take care! Sara
